Hello! Thanks so much for visiting my site. My name is Owen Belanger. I’m an award winning Writer & Director, who has a healthy obsession for creating breathtaking romance films (ie. Your Wedding!). I’m infatuated with capturing the raw and unscripted passion of the entire experience!
Just like the romance genre itself, I want your big day to feel like a movie, the kind you rewatch every year for a good emotional rollercoaster. Bringing you back, right into the moment. Film preserves the core memories and emotions, how you fell in love all over again, what that day felt like, that first look and the hundred looks after that, your family & friends, and all the small heartfelt moments that not even Scorsese could plan for! Well maybe lol…
Getting your wedding filmed is sooo important! Hearing from married couples that they, “wish we would’ve filmed our wedding”, is something I hear WAY too much! Because you can’t reshoot the day once it’s over. Don’t be like them! Please :)

My passion & absolute obsession for storytelling & cinema is the reason I put so much thought into my Romance films. Nothing creates a more vivid story than one of the most important days of your life. The script writes itself, there’s no need for “extra” drama. Every moment & feeling is motivated by true, emotionally charged action. It’s a filmmakers dream, a self unfolding story that never repeats. Each experience & reaction is completely unique. Because of my background & focus in filmmaking, I approach each film as if it’s a movie. Telling the true story of the day, through cinema.

Shot on high-end equipment, in 4k resolution.
I also own a RED DSMC2 camera. Used on movies/shows such as Squid Game, The Hobbit Trilogy, and Stranger Things S2. It is available for use at an additional cost. (If your wedding is in a super cool location or makes for awesome portfolio material, I may upgrade your package free of charge!)
Romance Films are stored permanently in the Cloud and on physical hard drives in case of disaster and/or corruption. And can be requested at any time!

Engagement
30 second - 4 minute film of the romantic story that carried you both to the present date. This is where your personal style gets blended in! This type of short film can take place wherever your heart desires. It can be the place(s) you first met or a location you both dreamed of visiting! This is your origin story, this is your Romance Film.

Wedding
4 - 7 minute (longer lengths available on request) film of your entire wedding experience! The story, the people, and the emotion! This is the most common Romance film. This is where all the hard work and HOURS of planning pay off. Your vision comes to life and I’m SO ready to capture it for you!

Elopement
3 - 6 minute film, focused on telling your wild, adventurous, and heart-pounding story! This is where you can pronounce your love in the most breathtaking locations. Because the scale of Elopements are so much smaller, you can almost go wherever you want! Elopements can take place, any time, any season, any location. This is where Romance gets WILD!

Selected and Coloured to resemble your unique story. It’s all about the aesthetic!
Complete photos are permanently stored & delivered through an online gallery. Accessible 24/7, and shareable to family/friends!
I offer 35mm Film Photography for those of you who LOVE nostalgic vibes! Take this into consideration when you’re building your package!
All photography includes 1 round of revisions. Additional revisions are available at an added cost. (I’ve never had to revise something more than once. By the time I’m hired, we should both be on the same page visually, so the likelihood of extra revisions is very, very low.)
My focus is filmmaking, BUT I have also photographed many weddings! If nostalgic, grainy, artistic photos are your style, then you’re in the right place. Just like my films, I want your photos to feel like stills out of a movie. With photos, I always lean towards the heavily candid side. I want to be a Ninja on your wedding day, capturing the entire experience from the shadows, as pure, unscripted romance. (ps: I also love Ninjas…)
While I’ll still pose you, think of it as candid-motivation and a gentle nudge in the right direction.
Engagement
1-2 hour photoshoot of your romantic story. Engagement shoots are all about intimacy and showing the wild passion between both of you. These photoshoots are so fun because it’s just you guys! (I’m there to, but I’m basically Batman, I’ll pop in to give some direction, but I’m in the shadows 95% of the time…let me dream lol). Picture yourself in your dream scenario, THAT movie scene that plays on repeat in your head. Your relationship is the main character in this film!

Wedding
2 - 12 hour photoshoot. Covering everything or anything from Getting Ready, Ceremony, Family/Wedding Party, Just the two of you, First Dance, Reception, and Final Send Off! Your Wedding story will be captured in a unique, movie-like portrayal! This is the most popular option (Full Day).

Elopement
2 - 6 hour photoshoot, centered around adventure and heart-racing destinations! If you’re getting married, you’ve most likely seen the gorgeous results that come from eloping, taking place in locations that a large wedding group can only dream of visiting. Each has its advantages, but if having a lot of people at your wedding isn’t the priority, this is your jam. Because you only have a few people to worry about, the potential is ENDLESS! Seriously, start dreaming. Let’s start completing your vision board!

IT USUALLY TAKES BEWEEN 1-2 MONTHS for the full film. 2-4 WEEKS FOR THE TEASER! A RUSH OPTION IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST & ADDITIONAL PAYMENT.

While weddings take up more time. Elopements are more technically difficult. Camera’s (Especially my cinema camera), take A LOT of power and digital storage to operate.
Elopements are rarely in locations that offer external power/charging. So a bunch of extra gear is needed to last the day.
Elopements also encounter a lot of liability. ex. You want shots of you canoeing on a lake, or you want your elopement to take place in the sahara desert. (Please somebody do this!) There’s A LOT more to consider when preparing for an elopement shoot.
And the last thing you or I want, is to travel all the way to Mt. Fuji, Japan, just to realize we can only film one out of the three days I’m there.
(I can film for an eternity, but you get the point!)

I’d think ahead 10 years from now! what moments do you want to relive? what emotion do you want to capture? my usual answer is as much as you can safely afford!
I would personally recommend getting an engagement shoot along with your wedding or elopement, both at full length. everyone loves a good origin story.
But, prioritize what’s important to you. Your story is not just your wedding day, it’s how you met, your relationship, the commitment, and all the wild happenings in between!
Plus the more frames we have to pull from, the more well-rounded your film will be! It’s 110% up to you though!
You won’t hurt my feelings if you want less!

Neutral and/or Earthy Tones work the best.
But wear whatever feels like you!
Try to stay away from vivid & loud colours like hot pink, lime green, bright purple, etc.
